    According to the manual for the Baker surge tester the formula for testing voltages is 2 X supply voltage + 1000 X (1.2 - 1.7). We use 1.4 as a standard. E.G. 2 x 400 + 1000 X 1.4 = 2520 (2.5Kv)

    Core testers

    Does anyboby know where I can get hold of a second hand stator laminated core tester, I have priced up the Adwell units but the price is too high. Or has anybody any advice on how to test for hot spots and interlamination insulation breakdown without the need for this piece of equipment.
