the "A" block was created first with both translucent and non-translucent faces, then saved. It was added to the assembly at a later time, all face non-translucent.

We create large sheet bodies with multiple surfaces, and before I use thicken to create a solid, I would use join face to clean up the surfaces. So I can't use combined and delete face may change the results I'm trying to achieve.
Is there an easy way to tract down the cause of a component to be out-of-date. I have the clock in the Assembly Navigator and the "!" in the header. I'm using NX 9.0.3.4 on Windows 7.
