That was kind of what I was looking for, except the only view that I have is the isometric. There isn't a front, top, or right side to switch from. I would have thought there would be a parallel option for a dimension or something along those lines.
I was wondering if there is a way that I can put dimensions on an isometric view? I know it's now a common practice, but I only need one view for some overall dimensions.
I am creating a modelof a disconnect switch, and I am trying to limit the number of parts to create. But I also want it to look like it was assembled. I know in other 3d parametric CAD packages that there is a split feature, which adds a split in the material, so that you are able to

I have used both Inventor and Pro-E Wildfire, and everything these guys are saying here is true. For bigger assemblies that change alot Wildfire is the best to use. Although I have run into quite a few bugs concerning graphics cards, it is still by far the best for large assemblies. Also the...
Can anyone give me an explanation of what an Instance is? I know in either assembly or modeling you can do something by instance. I think this could help me out a lot for what I've been working on, but I'm not sure what it is or how it works.

I am having the exact same problem, I hide a pulley wheel once so that I could get to the stuff behind it. I saved it with it hidden, now everytime I open the assembly it is hidden. Is there a fix for this, besides just unhiding it everytime?
I am trying to take a section out of an assembly in one of the projects that I am working on at work. All it is a layout of a plant that I want to take a section of bay poles out to show where they are in a department. What is the easiest way to do this? I have projected a grid pattern in the...
I have used Solidworks, Inventor, and Pro-E Wildfire, it is hard to say which is the best and the worst. It all depends on the questions that looslib is asking. Solidworks and Inventor are very user friendly software packages, excellent for basic to moderate design creations and solid...
Does anyone know where I can get a basic tutorial on how to use animation in Pro-E Wildfire? I am trying to create a cylinder and 2 valves moving. The 2 valves will turn then the cylinder will go up, but I am not 100% sure on how to do this.
Thanks,

Does anyone know how to use the Make Flexible feature in Wildfire? I am trying to make a thin tube flexible enough so that one end is stationary and the other is able to slide back and forth with a sliding table. Is this possible? If so, what's the easiest way to do it?
Thanks
