Thx again for your answer Rob.
But it's not clear for me: what do you mean with "cut faces"? i.e for the roller the cut faces are the "two circle" along z axis?
If so, they are just costrained in that plane...if i choose bc the z direction doesn't appear because 2d analysis.
On the left the 2d, on the right the "corresponding" middle section of the 3dhttp://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=217cb853-e1d0-4145-b319-b4d727cd8cb2&file=help.png
Thx for the tips Rob, i'll try with double precision because i need a long step time if i want to have a complete revolution of the outer ring.
Just another question: usually I work on 3d analysis. This is my first in 2d, and the only reason of a 2d approach is the computational cost (with our...

Thks for your help!
Yes i've got a lot of elements, i'll try to reduce it, even if it's not a main problem (lot of computational power here...i like to "play" with pc network ;) ).
Instead, what do you mean with "the slower you load it the longer it takes"? Should i use 0.5 second for the first...
You are right! I've attached a zip file containing cae. Hope it helps, i'm not so skilled with explicit analysis to understand the problem.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=ba09d0c6-4865-449f-896b-9e2596a03f1c&file=MR2901_2D_exp.zip
It's what i've tryed to do, at least in the last step (the one with angular speed on the rigid surface).
I've three steps, the radial load is applyed on the rigid surface in the first step, in the second i changed load modulus and in the third i've tryed a tabular amplitude like you can see...
Hi everybody,
i've a problem with an explicit analysis, dealing with a 2D cylindrical roller bearing working as track roller.
The model is "simple": the inner ring is fixed in its own position, and the rigid surface is pushed against the outer ring.
My problem is that i've set the force...
It's a different kind of step, so probably you must build up a new model.
As a matter of fact, i've done a static analysis over a full complement cilindrical rollers bearing using abaqus standard.
Your .msg tells that you have too many increment: ok, but what about this rollers? I mean, this...

Hi all
I'm dealing with the problem in object: usually we use standard method (ISO) to estimate L (number of revolution before collapse), but now we are looking for a better solution.
I'm totally out of concepts about fatigue analisys in abaqus, does anybody can provide something? The boss...
