    Threaded insert spacing

Dear All, Thanks for your comments! It is not a heavy camera but it is subjected to very high electromagnetic forces. This way I am using INCONEL. Furthermore, due to lack of space I can't increase the size of the bolts. As far as I could read the distance 3 x bolt diameter is to avoid bolt's...

    Threaded insert spacing

Dear All, Here is my case.. I have a camera housing (rectangular box made of steel) bolted to a bigger structure. So far I am using M12 DIN912 bolts made of INCONEL 712 and to increase the strength of the 'female' thread I'm using M18 (external thread) inserts. This is a tapped bolted...

Water Injection Well - Pressure Drop

Hi, thanks again for your help on this issue. Is it possible to apply the Fanning-Liquid Correlation for single phase liquid with good results?. Do you have experience using this one?. I´m having problem in estimating the friction factor with D'Arcy. Furthermore, I´m a little confuse about the...

Water Injection Well - Pressure Drop

Hello to All, I would like to discuss some doubts that I have about the way to calculate the pressure drop in a water injection well during fracture operation. Here is my escenario, I have a 2D well path (vertical 9000 ft; horizontal 8000 ft), the fluid injected is slickwater (density 1300...

    M, M+B with shell Elements

Hi TGS4, Thanks for your help. So in Ansys to know the M should I select - Stress Intensity: Middle and for M+B - Stress Intensity: Top/bottom ?. I´m quite new using ansys. What about the "membrane" and "bending" option in the Solution-insert-stress-MEMBRANE or BENDING ?. Best regards!
