Thank you zeusfaber. I will look for those specs.
I did inquire and was sent this spec NATO Doc ATP 16(D)MTP 16(D).

So long and thanks for all the fish --Douglas Adams (1952-2001)
Good day:
I have an inquiry to supply 2-1/2" hoses with a NATO 5 65mm water connection. We make 2-1/2" hose assemblies, just not this one.
Does anyone have experience in these and can point me to a spec? I've looked around and can't seem to find anything.
What I need is the thread spec, then...
TVP:
Do you have a source for A108 bar? I tried a supplier in Dallas, but he said things were bleak AFA finding any low carbon bar.
TIA

Good day:
I am having trouble finding this material. The US Navy is specifying this material for use with a seal ring.
Are any of these low carbon steels available in bar or seamless pipe/tubing.
The finished sizes are approx. 4.5" OD x 4" ID and 3.5" OD x 3" ID. The...
Good day:
Has anyone worried about the display of lockwire in an assy. I have an assy that calls out the wire and is discriptive as to how it's used. I'd like to show the lockwire. It doesn't have to be a part of the model per se, I can create something in Pro/Detail.
Thanks in advance.

Hmmm.....lets look at the last page of the wear ring book...oh...yeah...there it is, tolerances for h8 & h9, H8 & H9, in mm.
Guess that should answer the question.
Thanks for you help.
Thanks Gearguru.
I did look in the Machinery's Handbook (25th Ed), but did not see h8 for the shaft tolerance, unless I'm not reading this right. I did have a look at the thread you mentioned. I'll have to read it again to fully grasp what you were saying.
AFA the 16.501 dia - .250 h8, the...
I have a design guide for wear rings which uses the ISO standard limits & fits for the bore dia and groove diameter. I don't have this spec and wonder what would be the tolerances on a couple of dimentions.
First one is the bore diameter. It would be 16.501 H9. (In actuality the T-Seal would...
James:
We'll have to have the rod machined first. There are threads on either end, a step in the dia and an O-Ring groove. I guess take the 1050 rod, machine, then send out for heat treatment and plating.
Cheers!

How does one machine rod that has already been induction hardened and chrome plated? Or do you machine the part and then induction harden and chrome plate?
Thanks.
Eyke
Hello:
I need to manufacture a part that is made from AISI 1050 IHCP steel. What is IHCP? This part gets chrome plated and is used in a hydraulic accumulator as a piston rod.
Thanks in advance.

Could be. There is an o-ring that is part of the plug.
I looked in my Machinery's Handbook #25 under dry seal threads. 2-1/2-14 is not a standard thread, tho they do call out 14 tpi. I'm not sure if close is good enough. It depends on what the customer is installing in this port.
Thanks for...
Good day:
I have a vendor drawing that calls out a 2-1/2-14 UNF SAE-32 Straight Thread O-Ring port. There is a part identified for this port. I inquired the company and was replied with a terse, "That part is obsolete."
What are SAE threads and how do they differ from ANSI threads...
