Can Chloride stress corrosion cracking (ClSCC) occur in a hospital steam sterilizer with tap water. The steam sterilizer is made of 304 grade stanless steel. Thanks in advance.
Operating temperature is 126 ºC
Operating pressure is 1.4 MPa
The corrosion rate is determined as follows.
For example, the nominal thickness of a elbow is 6.3,and the minimum remaining wall thickness is 4.2 determined by inspection data from the elbow.
The inspection data :5.8,4.8,4.2,5.8,5.7.
The time:3 years
So,the corrosion rate = (6.3-4.2)/3 = 0.7...
For a local metal loss assessment, the remaining life of piping elbows can be computed by using the method based upon computation of a minimum required thickness for the intended service conditions? For example, r=(t1-t2)/(2c)
where r=remaining life,years
t1 = the minimum remaining wall...
Can anhydrous ammonia ?vapor or liquid?cause erosion or corrosion for piping elbow and tee made of carbon steel or low alloy steel in refrigeration system?
The piping would be full of liquid anhydrous ammonia for some reasons when in-service inspections are conducted. So my question is how to inpect the piping? Thank you in advance.
what NDT technology or tools can be used for the integrity of FRP pressure vessels? And what recommendations would you like to provide for me when I inspect them from outside and inside. Are there some standards or codes in this field? Thanks in advance.
What are the differences between A335 P11 and A335 P22? For example, the allowable operating temperature for a design life of pipes. Thanks in advance.
What is the weight of Pneumatic Three-way Valve for Power Plant?
Some design data of the valve is following.PN=28.7MPa?t=270??DN=325mm.
Thanks in advance.
I have three questions.
1.Does 'glass-lined' mean 'fiberglass-reinforced Plastics(FRP)'?
2.Are there standards or codes about FRP for pressure equipments?
3.How to inspect a glass-lined pressure equipment effectively?
Thanks in advance.
Can anhydrous hydrogen chloride gas and liquid be corrosive to SA-333 steel and stainless steel at low temperature? Could anyone be kind to provide some references about them? Thanks.
