    Shrinkage reinforcement

    Doesn't a structural plain concrete foundation need reinforcement for shrinkage effect? I have gone through ACI-318, chapter 22 "Structural Plain Concrete" and found out no indication to such reinforcement. If such reinforcement is need, where shall it be placed? Thanks and regards,
