When the natural resources permit to build a Power plant with a total generation capacity of 800 MW. What factors determine the rating of the power plant, when I have to choose between 2 x 400 MW and 1 x 800 MW ?
Could any one suggest what should be calculated in order to connect a wind power plant or any power generation plant to the existing net/grid.
Where can i get information regarding the above said issue.

Yes, i agree. I would like to test the relay, by checking the reponse to the input , for example if i check the differential protection , i purposefully short one side of the current transformer and look if the relay trips the circuit breaker.
