Is there any way of putting the sketch functionality back on the Home Tab so I don't have to switch back and forth
between the home and sketch tabs? I was able to get the open and finish buttons on there, but not all the line/curve buttons.
Hi all, can someone tell me what happened to the familiar sketch tools on the Drawing Home ribbon?
I'm using version 1973
Here you can see it in versions 9 and 11,
I see! So then is this the correct symbol for the 3D?
I just need to be sure because I'm try to analyze a bigger issue. I can't get my drawings into our PDM using 1899
and I thought it was because the 3d was being attached differently. I'm used to seeing the single or triple square symbol...
this issue occurs for me in versions 1899 and also in version 1969.
I always use master model concept.
Hello, Can someone tell why the 3D part keeps loading as "ref only" when I create a view?
This doesn't happen for me when I use NX version 11:
Thank you
I suppose that's one way to do it. I was hoping there was a way similar to how you would do a slot.
Where you would dimension the width of the slot, then put the datum callout off of the dimension
line. Only with a slot it's more obvious which direction you're appling the datum to.
How do I place the Datum symbols to achieve what's on the attached picture. Notice the diamond pins in all three holes. I understand Datum B may need to have targets B1 and B2. But I still need to know how best to place the Datum symbols on the dimensions to communicate this type of...
Well that didn't help much! I have read up, but there's no example showing what I'm trying to do.
I'm using the Y14.5 2009 standard. I have a long plastic part with three holes; One at each end and one hole in the middle. The two end holes, Datum B, will control 'Y' and the middle hole, Datum C...
I have a hole that I want to use as Datum B, but I only want the datum to control one direction, not both. I'll have a diamond pin for this hole. Actually there will be two of these holes, one at each end of a long part.
This probably doesn't answer your question but, since I've being using 8.5(last 30 days), I'm getting the same error "Given matrix is not from the required part" while trying to create lines and circles in sketch mode.
I want my wave links to have the same name as the items in the parent part. Some of my links retain the name but others don't. For example the parent element is Extrude (12) "Split Plane/Face". The link in my child component is "Linked Face (51)" I would like it to at least keep my assigned...
Okay I was just informed we don't run native NX. It is in fact an ECTR installation which overwrites the user setting; apparently ECTR forces its configuration over to the client. So then is there any work-around that I can perform on my end. Maybe replace the file it sends me with a saved...
Looslib, how do I "RUN" the userdefaults.dpv file? I was able to save off a userdefaults.dpv to my desktop. Then I tried using it to replace the one that the system gives me; thinking I'll let it give me what it wants then I'll just replace it with my personal copy. That worked with little success.
