Retaining wall in front of a vertical rock surface-Lateral Pressure?
The short answer is yes there will be lateral pressure, but likely reduced. Dames and Moore sampler and 800-pound hammer
Has anyone ever seen reference to using an 800-pound hammer when sampling with D&M sampler? I know of the 300- or 340-pound hammers. However, I have an 1972 Dames and Moore report that very clearly references a "D&M Type-U sampler driven with n 800-pound weight falling 24 inches." We are...- DTrisler
