Is there a calculation option available in Compress that will allow small nozzles meeting the criteria of (UW 16 f 3 a) to use an external fillet attachment weld only?
It seems Compress does not apply the impact test exemption shown in UCS 66 (c) (4) for standard FVC LWN nozzles. Code section states exemption to -20F MDMT for LWN as long as neck inside diameter not less than the nominal flange size and the neck outside diameter does not exceed the B16.5...
Does Compress plan to update the vessel design program to accommodate trapazoidal saddle gusset plate shapes in lieu of rectangular for horizontal vessel supports?
