I second CBL. And be sure that your drawing standard is set to ANSI (remember this is set per drawing, so if the template isn't ANSI you'll have to change this each time).
Does anyone know of any way to get SolidWorks to do stick font (for easy translation into MasterCAM)?
Just for clarification, stick font uses only straight lines. Think of an old school calculator and the way it displayed numbers and letters.

I'm trying to get RealView graphics to work on a new HP nw8440 with an ATI FireGL V5200 graphics card. The drivers are the most current tested and passing from SolidWorks, but the RealView graphics ball is still greyed out and when I go to edit a material it is not given as an option.

ElectroMatt is correct. I'm actually relaying this issue from a client of ours and it is something that they run into on a daily level. Even with a macro how could you define the the edges are lined up perfectly if they are not selectable/defineable?

All of these suggestions should work, but they're overkill. Instead of selecting the sketch from the display area, select the actual sketch icon from the FeatureTree or the FeatureTree Flyout Menu. This should fix your problem.
