what are the best options for joining things to body panels?
I've got an aluminum body panel that i'd like to attach a few brackets to the b-side w/o any exposed fasteners or read thru to the a-side. it could be supporting up to ~10lb and would see some good vibration and wind load. first...
anyone have any pointers for sourcing variable thickness glass (or any durable transparent material). having a need for a couple pieces roughly around 1' x 6' in size and variable thickness of ~1/4" at top and increasing to ~1" at bottom. It'll need to be durable, comparable to automotive side...
rbulsara,
I have average wind speed from the last 49 years at the site in question, and it is 10.7 mi/hr (this is where i get my 1000 kwHr from)
The 450 amps is actually amps per hour.
Thanks Waross for the very helpful reply but can you please explain why you did -> "For 3 phase, divide that by 1.73 for 66 Watts per phase".
Also does this amperage seem reasonable to you, this is for a single wind generator (11 meters high with normal wind conditions).I am seeing if it is...
I am considering if a wind generator can provide me enough amperage.
I have a graph of the annual energy production that shows the annual output in kWHr, and am a little confused in what that means (ie kWHr/year or average kWHr??) the values are 0-4000.
The bottom line is that I know that I...
I have found some stuff concerning my original question...
The equation seems to be of the form Cp = [n R]/[M (n-1)]
where
Cp = the specific heat
R = is the universal gas constant
M = molecular weight
n = the 'N value' from above (possible ratio of specific heats/or something concerning the...
there is a term called 'n value' it is used in industry for gas mixtures as a means of calculating the specific heat, and maybe other things.
there is an equation that gives the specific heat and is a function of 'n value', molecular weight, and maybe a couple other things for a mixture of...
Can someone please help me or refer me to a good resource. I would like to know more about the 'n value' used for gas mixtures to calculate physical properties for a mixture of gases.
I would specifically like to know how to get it and the equations it is used in. I have been searching for a...
I appologize for the caps, didn't realize it.
As I said it is for an air cooled heat exchanger, hot fluid is going through the tubes and cool ambient air is blown over it to cool the hot fluid.
I HAVE A HARD TIME UNDERSTANDING THE APPLICATION OF CONSTANT SURFACE TEMPERATURE AND CONSTANT HEAT FLUX. AND WAS HOPING SOMEONE CAN DUMB IT DOWN FOR ME.
FOR AIR COOLED HEAT EXCHANGERS THE INTERNAL HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT'S NUSSELT NUMBER VALUE FOR THE LAMINAR REGIME DEPENDS ON BEING EITHER...
Does anyone know where I can find a saturation table for co2 for temperatures above 304.128 K. Everyone I find ends at this temperature. I know its CO2's critical temp but I am going to use it at a pressure less than its critical pressure.
Can anyone help.
I've been looking at gear pumps and notice that you'll need to purchase a motor seperately. What are the general considerations when selecting a motor for a given gear pump? And would a gear pump be advisable for pumping hot oil?
thanks lcarter157, So is it right to say that as long as you have a powerful enough pump then it will produce a constant flow rate within a range of total head?
