I just solve this, but how can i asing a varible " := " to this, so that i can use the value of "N"
And also, how can i reduce the number of decimals when i use the "solve", because i tryed using the "Format->Result->Number Format" and reducing the number of decimals doesn't work...
It is posible to solve "manually", using Mathcad or any other program to solve matrix.
If you solve the shear wall like a frame with 3 DOF on each side is posible to solve but the same shear wall with FEA depends on how many parts you divide the wall the matrix will increase exponential.

Good question!, that's why between F5 and the results is a big black box where now one knows how the program works.
But, if you have the Wilson book there it shows how they calculate that. One thing is whats in paper and another whats inside the program it self

That is true ("I have a funny feeling they are sticking with 32-bit software") they said that SAPv12 works with 64bit and all that stuff but the truth is works exactly the same!
By the way SAPv12 sucks!, for me runs a lot slower than v11, to much stuff to do the same thing!

In SAP2000 v11, go to define->mass source and check the 3rd option.
If the 1st one is checked to have to introduce the mass of the elements and any addiontal mass.
If the 2nd one is checked the program is going to calculate th mass from the lods you introduce.
