rstupplebeen,
Thanks a lot - great advice.
Attached is a file containing the problem geometry. I'd be curious to see if anyone could avoid the "knit sheets" error and complete this problem using a loft. Anyway, thanks again...
I found a solution using surface lofts.
By breaking the original profile into two separate loft portions I was able to create a nice guide curve from the edge of my first half of the loft.
If anyone can do loft like this without introducing surfaces left me know.
I attached a picture so you...
Hardie,
I'm not sure I'm understanding your problem correctly but whenever I'm working in assemblies and trying to edit on the fly and create new holes in relation to other parts I always edit the part I want to cut a hole in within the assembly. If you do this you can still see the other parts...
I am trying to a relatively simple loft (or so I thought) but for some reason I am getting an error that I haven't seen before. The error is as follows, "Cannot Knit Sheets Together"
I read online a couple places that said this may be due to the fact that the profiles are too different and...
The company I am working for deals with a lot of parts that are very similar and easily consolidated to one model with the use of design tables. A single tabulated drawing has not been effective so the engineers have been given the task to generate separate drawings for each of the variations of...
