When using "advanced machining" normally by default there is a tool path preview when you cursor over an operation on the tree. For some reason this preview has disappeared and we can't find how to get this function back.
Can anyone help us with this?

This may be basic, but I have a bent tube that I would like to know what length it would be when straight. Is there a accurate way in CATIA V5 to find this? My tube is drawing in "part design"

Personally I like using STEP (.stp) files not .iges (we call them "I'll guess" files) for translation between Inventor, Solid works, etc...
You should have success with this without changing any export settings in CATIA.
just go:
"Save As" ---> in the drop down scroll to .stp

Anyone out there having problems getting TRACUT to work? This is a machining function that mirrors tool paths. I use it on a workstation that's running R16, but the same function will not work on the R17 SP7 station.

We're tapping in inch. Using advanced machining in R17. The problem is that the feed defaults to .039in (1mm)and can not be changed.
How can we go about changing this value?
