Is there any way to convert files between Solid Works and Solid edge? Not just having a solid view of the part, but being able to change geometry etc.?
So far it seems that although both programs use the same kernel, there is no a straight forward method, if possible at all.
I would suggest a through trial of all programs being considered, Solid Edge, Solid Works etc. on your product with your people at the controls. Have the sales reps all come in for on site demos.

Solid edge allows modification of the thread image with the style command allowing a more realistic representation with options for left and right hand thread views.

Solid edge applies a graphic depiction of screw threads in draft mode that is typically not representative of the thread applied. How do I scale thsi graphic to be a more representative view?
