Thank you for sharing your knowledge Kapil, it is always interesting to see the different
ways to tackle an area. I agree with Tim about only using mesh surfacing in a case like this, as it
does afford more control in my experience. I will however look into the N-sided approach more now
after...
Hi Guys
I'm using NX7.5.0.32 on a Windows7 64bit, and I have a question hopefully someone can answer for me.
I use the curve length command quite extensively, and it has changed between NX7 and NX7.5 in that it no longer is a dynamic input. What I mean is that when I select a curve in the...
Ok, just found out that you can add commands to toolbars.(I'm a noob!)
So added 'Set View to WCS' to the View toolbar, but I can't find 'Basic Curves'. Is this old friend finally going to leave?
Hi Guys
Does anyone know where "Set View to WCS" toolbar location is?
I can access it through - View - Operation, but it was so much quicker when it was on the 'View' Toolbar.
Also, am I the only one that still likes 'Basic curves'?
I can't find a toolbar location for it either.
Thanks in...
Hi Guys
We are currently on NX6 6.0.1.5
One of my guys in the office is trying to generate a drawing from an imported STL/polygon file. And is having trouble removing hidden geometry.
Firstly, is there a way to do this?
And if so how?
Best regards
Martin
It's so strange that you can use a certain method for defining
curves on surfaces(for many years), and never realize that there is a much easier way.
Thank you so much for this John.
I feel like a noob!
Hi guys, please help me with the following problem.
I am using NX 6.0.0.24.
In drafting, when I add a detail view from a section it is
removing the crosshatching. What am I doing wrong? And how do I fix it.
Thank you
Hi John and Tim
Thanks for the responses. The 'Rotate by Three Points' was exactly what I was looking for thanks John.(insert embarrassed smiley here)
I'm still struggling with the whole dynamic move Tim, but I'm sure the more I use it, the more I'll wonder how I ever coped before.
Hi Guys
I have installed NX6 and am really enjoying it.
I just have a question regarding the transform command.
It has been split into two separate commands, and I can't
seem to find the "rotate about a point - by two points"
command. I'm sure it's staring me in the face.
Is anyone able to help?
