shear load of 375 jo bolt needed

Hi Dean, I do not recognize the p/n of your bolts. Try to find out if they are made to a mil-standard, if so you may find the values in MIL-HDBK-5. (avail. on the net) Dan

    Three-Lifting Surface

Hi. My interpretation of the Piaggio design is that it is a clever way of achieving a cabin area free from the spar carry-thru, without resorting to putting the same on the outside of the fuselage cross section. As the spar is located behind the cabin, and the nose of the aircraft is long and...

    SRM - Definition

Hi! I'm not sure I follow you completely... any repair stated in a SRM is supposed to maintain the a/c status it had when certified. If your engineers are doing their job this should be taken care when they make up the repairs? Or am I completely off the track here? dan100

    Extrusion vs milling

Hi! We have a problem obtaining a 113 deg angle for a helicopter repair. We figure if we mill it out of a solid bar it will lack some fatigue strength due to surface differences, but we cannot find any literature on it. Is bead blasting a good idea? Does anybody have experience with these...

    Fastener allowables and Shear-out formula

Hi! Try to find out what ED the handbook values are based on. I do not have the HDBK at hand now, but I think it might be 1.5D. Not sure though. The designed ED is usually 2D+ some company figure, maybe 2.5mm to account for misdrilled holes, oversized repair rivets etc. I recollect that a 1.5D...

    aeronautical hardware standard parts

Robonave, Regarding AN-MS-NAS hardware you will find the drawings at ATP, they supply them as a library in the micro-fiche format. As for DIN, EN, LN hardware you need to purchase the individual drawings from Beuth in Germany. They are about 50 Euro each... The ATP library is cheaper per drawing...

centre of gravity of an aircraft with three lifting surfaces

Not sure if this answer is too basic, but I guess the standard stability equations will do? Dan100

I need a good CL equation

CL is just wing loading divided by Q (dynamic pressure)in coherent measures. Once you learn this it all becomes so much easier to understand.... Dan100
