I was doing some reading, and it turns out like you speculated, you do need Simulation Professional, or Premium (the next steps up from SolidWorks Premium) to have this button available. Sorry.

Boomer,
First turn on your Simulation Motion add in. Then select the Motion Study tab at the bottom of the page. Then select Motion Analysis from the dropdown box on the left. A button will appear by the double arrows on the right that are used to minimize and maximize the Motion Manager. It...
Yep, after asking this question I realized that I just decline it every time. The problem is I have coworkers that violently hate extraneous windows that force you to click through them... Wait till 08 I guess.

Well since Phil pulled this post out of the dust I'll say that I too want to find this misspelled post. I have some engineers here that just hate this feature of SW autoflipping mates, it would be nice if you had the option to accept the flip, or turn the feature on and off.

Long shot but I had a microsoft mouse, and the intellimouse software was causing solidworks to lock up one of my cores and pause for 15-30 seconds every few minutes, usually when I was using my mouse to move views and rotate. I had to uninstall microsofts mouse button manager and install a 3rd...

Sorry to keep bringing this thread up to the top, but I figured out the answer to my problem. When I brought it up to my VAR, turns out this same thing has been causing them problems, like white/black screens and hangs. I had been running in software OpenGL mode, but the real culprit was...

I have been battling this for weeks now. We switched to quad core cpu's and the new Nvidia Quadro 4600. Under normal operation I can be doing something as simple as spinning a part around for a better view. When out of nowhere the the cpu jumps to 25% (maxed out one core?) and I can do...
3dconnexion released a $59 version of their SpaceTraveler today. It only has two programmable buttons and no LED lights (as far as I can tell). There is a $99 dollar version for Pro users???
I could get used to the small size and the fewer buttons for that price no problem...
Tell me this Phadreus,
Does the ball mech feel good on the Astroid? The one thing that has me wanting a new spaceball is the jiggle in the mechanism in my 4000. I can wiggle the ball around a little without moving the model. I know the SB5000 has this beat.

In SolidEdge Astroid has the ability to fly through the part like camera mode in SW. The inability to get this feature to work with their controller is what held up the release of SW drivers from what I understand. Personally I don't know how important that is in the first place. I do like...
I for one have been waiting for this, thanks for the notification. Wish there was a way to see one and try it out. Looks like they weren't able to get the camera mode working with Solidworks though.

This may be old news but I couldn't find it in the forum. I read a post that said the Astroid 6000 would have beta SW drivers in May so I fired off an email and here is the (quick!) reply. I am pretty curious to see how their pseudo camera mode works out. Anyway looks like I will be waiting...
