Check to make sure all the entities in your sketch are in the same plane. If explicit geometry was added to the sketch it's possible that every element does not lie in the same plane which will cause your extrusion to produce a sheet. Ron Design Analyst

Normally it always works the way Jaydenn mentioned in the above post, but for some odd reason it started requiring a terminating object and would not allow me to create without a leader. Simply hitting the reset button solved the problem. Ron Design Analyst
