I like the idea of excel sheets. I definitely could use this on my current job. Actually, I logged in today to post a thread about it and I am very glad to find it is already here. After all, they went thru lots of hoops to implement the ribbon bar and yet, they missed such an important...
Mark,
Thanks for the reply.
I was looking to set up the Euler angles and I believe this option is not available yet. However, I found all other functions I was looking for in the base files. I wanted to set Euler angles dynamically based upon the tool's current position and output G68.2 option...
Hi,
I would like to know if post-builder has some advanced capabilities such as local coordinates transformation along with vector manipulation capabilities?
If not then does it have advanced math functions like cross product , dot product and finding inverse of matrices, etc..
Does post...

Regarding- " Contacting GTAC directly is the only sure way to get your voice heard by the developers."
I sent a very important enhancement request to GTAC back in 2008. I sent sample files with desired tool-path using "Sequential Mill". All I requested to have an option for multi-level...
Hi John,
Attached is a step203 file(saved from solidworks2016) with two solid bodies and one helix curve. I wonder if NX11 is capable of making a swept cut?
Thanks.

I noticed this lack of functionality when I began using UG version NX3. I wonder how did Solidworks developers implement this feature using Parasolid geometry kernel? Attached are images from Solidworks. It can be done in Catia as well but Catia doesn't use Parasolid kernel. I hope someday NX...
Hi,
I would like to correct my statements made earlier in this thread. http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=377918
"It seems that our friends at Cypress have something missing what SolidWorks' developers had for years. And they used NX's parasolid geometrical kernel for it."
Edit: As of...
Hi Bill,
If it is just drilling op you are doing and if you have Catia-V5 available at your workplace, then it can be easily done in V5. If NX doesn't have this capability then it has to be done in the post-processor.

Hi,
If you are cutting/driving a constant tapered helical cone shape which seems to be in the images, then only I controller I am aware of requires a single block of code for your entire helical toolpath is FIDIA C20. But it requires the helical output in the cl file. Helical record can be...
