    Thanks for all the helpful answers, in this situation "best" would mean cheapest valve that can do the work, and "control", throttle the flow through with 10% error give or take and a delay of a few seconds. I think this time I'll choose the globe valve. Regards.

    Hello, I've been looking for valves which can work at high temperatures (at most 250ºC), I'm not too worried about the pressure, but valves which can resist that pressure generally don't resist that temperature, the diameter I'm looking for is 2". Thanks!
