Does anyone know of a good reference for mechanical design specifications for new desalters? These are specs that I would like to modify & supply to the vendor for detail design. I already have & supplied process specs.
Is there a good reference/article indicating the temperature range for vacuum bottoms pipe spec break? Specifically, I need to know where I can change from 1-1/4 Cr - 1/2 Mo to CS. (We are adding exchangers for a new pre-heat train.)
Do you have a feel for percentage of accuracy by simply assuming complete combustion as in the following:
lb SO2/MMBtu = (xxx mol H2S / 10E6 mol Refinery Gas) x (1 mol SO2 / 1 mol H2S) x (64 lb SO2 / mol SO2) x (mol Refinery Gas / 379 SCF) x (SCF Refinery Gas / xxxx BTU) x (10^6 Btu / MMBtu)...
In search of a thougough explanation (I have the calc, need to understand it) to convert measured flue gas ppm NOx (from natural fired heater) to lb/MMBtu NOx
