    This is for boiler feedwater from heat recovery tank. water to be treated is 130 F and goes to Na zeolite softeners after Fe/Mn removal.

    Certainly the increase in Mn is from KMnO4 overfeed. Usually these things are operated with either the oxidant regen OR the oxidant prefeed; not both. Question: are you sure the regeneration calls for KMnO4 in the backwash water? I would have expected an untreated backwash followed by downflow...

    I need to specify a system to remove 1.0 ppm Fe and 0.5 ppm Mn from about 100 gpm. Can anybody reccomend 2 or 3 system manufacturers with with good track records. Thanks
