Thank you francesca.
Culvert A is the pipe out of the riser.
Culvert B is pipe into riser.
Weir A is top of riser.
Wasn't sure if I should place culvert A invert at actual invert (which would be an elevation below what I show the pond bottom to be, since I created the pond with a pond bottom...
I am modeling a wetpond with two forebays, not in series. I've read through the User's Guide and did not see how I should input my values. If someone can provide some assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.
This is an existing pond, so I have the as-builts and created my pond with...
Have done some basic waterline projects, mainly waterline connections.
Anticipate getting started on design of few thousand feet of 12" waterline extension in August.
Looking for feedback on what I can do to get more prepared: software needed, book to review?, information needed to analyze...
Once again, I appreciate the feedback. Though I don't know all the appropriate ranges for velocity in pipes, I do recall that 8 fps is getting towards the upper range of what would be desired. I didn't think of checking that.
It is a historic house converted to office.
I've scanned the document, though wasn't looking for this in particular at the time. Will take another look.
Received this feedback from the plumber: "I will be providing the criteria only which will be the density the actual flow and pressures will have to come from the sprinkler designer. It will be a 4" line but the actual volume will come from the FP contractor."
The FP contractor won't get...
Received the flow of 2532 gpm @ 20 psi for one hydrant to the west of where we are tapping. Do I need the numbers for the hydrant to the east? The hydrant to the east has not been tested for a number of years due to ongoing construction. Was reading a post earlier that had a question about...
An existing building, that is approximately 5,000 SF, is being furnished with a fire sprinkler. NFPA 13. There is a 6" main along the roadway with an existing hydrant approximately 300 feet to the east and west.
The new line will only service the sprinkler system. I'm not sure where to...
Thanks for the feedback, though I'm a little confused now. I've read on another post that 1 DFU is approximately 1 gpm, though in your link, bimr, the paragraph above table 1-5 states 1 DFU represents 7.5 gpm. If this were the case, one toilet would represent 45 gpm (6 x 7.5). At 1.6 gallons...
Correct me if I'm wrong, since I'm borderline idiot with regards to water and sewer design at this time. Ater posting this I got to thinking that I should use fixture units since I'm looking to convert existing bathrooms from septic onto a low pressure sewer. This restroom only has one toilet...
I am in the process of designing a lift station to handle the waste from the restrooms at a high school track/football field (approximately 2,500 seat capacity), a softball field and baseball field. My fixture unit count is 42, though would like to find some flow numbers. Closest I have found...
