Thanks for all the feedback everyone.
I know it's just the normal tactic of a desperate PTC rep. Just wanted to know if anybody else heard this before.
Anna...you seem to know alot about Dassault, do you work for them? LOL

SW 2009...
I recently received a disturbing, well more like annoying, phone call from a PTC rep. They were trying to tell me that the SW kernel license from Seimens will expire in 2012 and cause SW to switch everyone over to Catia. Or, as he put it, switch to Creo from PTC.
I had to contain my laughter...
I have to agree with rollupswx. The printer will depend on your needs. If it is presentation you are looking for then ZCorp is a good choice. But if you need functional parts like cases or fixturing the Dimensions are a good bet. We have one here (BST 768) that I won through our SW reseller...
Why not just upgrade to a Pilot or Pilot Pro.
I've been using a Pro since they came out and I love it.
Kinda have a few connections with them, wrote an article for them.

I have had this problem too for a while. I started getting it when I switch to SP3, I think. I'm now on 2011 sp2 and have had fewer problems. I also called my VAR and they have never heard of that happening. Could it possibly be a video memory problem?

Very interesting Anna...
Can anyone confirm that SQL may come with EPDM?
I haven't contacted my VAR yet.
Anna...nice cpu specs, how do you like Win7?

Thanks for all the info everyone.
We already run SQL on our servers that need it.
From what our IT guys say it would cost us about an additional 50k to get a server capable of running "Microsoft" SQL.

They're just blowing smoke cause they don't want to deal with it.
I dont know.

Our company is looking to use PDM enterprise to help streamline our documentation.
We recieved a quote and...ouch. Our IT guys also informed us that if it uses "Microsoft SQL Server" we can look to spend a whole lot more cause of the software anf hardware required to run it.

This is just a general question.
Has anyone been having problems with SW-any version giving insufficient memory errors.
I currently have 2GB of ram and my VM is increased to 4X my actual memory.
Besides trying to go to a 64bit system, which will require me to use two computers for everyday...
We have a Wobl style compressor and we are the vendor. I haven't worked on compressors much in the past so that's why I ask this question.

I've looked at my old Architectural graphic Standards book and they show the CG for an average male is about 37.5 to 38" from the ground up. The CG of a human falls inside what is called the "pelvic link" which is an imaginary triangle formed by key points in the body.

Does anyone have a website or info on properly designing a counterweight for vacuum pumps and/or air compressors?
I have a funny feeling that we may be using a counterweight that is not properly designed for our application.
