    weld between components

i am running a small analysis in which i have to connect components of shell elements with welds. which will give better results . results i require are displacements and stress. which will give me acurate results tra-welds or rigids.? and what is the difference? tra-weld means --- connecting...

    about rigid connections in nastran

Hi Zuardy, thanks for clarifying my dought but i had not understood what u said about dependency and independency in ur last line. for analysis we create spider around the hole so we create it by RBE2 and RBE3 .by RBE2 we use multiple points. for that we select a single node and then we select...

    Diff between MPC and SPC

What actually MPC and SPC sounds.MPC-multi pt constrant and SPC- single point constrant. SPC are used for fixing a component or model but MPC are use to define the relation of set of nodes with one. what i understood is correct? or is there any additional difference between them thnxs

    about rigid connections in nastran

hi george, i have a dought can u replace RBE3 with MPC ie mutiple pt constrants in a linear analysis.? and is there any different behaviour of RBE3.? u said about linear analysis only what about nonlinear analysis.? what the independent and dependent criteria of nodes in RBE3. ? thnxs

    about rigid connections in nastran

while using a nastran deck for creation of satic analysis deck we come across rigids to weld on component to other.can u say what is the difference between rbe3 and rbe2 (in nastran deck)
