    Astroboy, How did you arrive at the 3-5 milliseconds? Is this from the data you took with the load cells using similar materials? Is this the complete duration of the impact cycle?

    rb1957 your math is the same as mine and I also got the 14 pounds of force as listed in my original email. So we agree on the basic math but the question is whether you agree with the 0.1 seconds I used for time of impact. I choose this number but can't back it up with any math or other means.

    We recently got a requirement from a customer that a bond needed to be able to with stand an impact force of about 15 lbs.
