Sorry but I posted this in the general SW forum.
I'm new to flow simulation. I've been watching many videos on what to do but I still can't find my answer. I have a solid assembly that will have a fixed pressure in and I need to know how much volume will exit. Everything I see I will only...
I've been a SW user for 14 years (also night instructor for 6 years) and our company needed NX for a new line at work. I received no training and after 3 months of suffering, I started to figure things out. I really like how SW had the tutorials for new users. There are simple things like...
I'm new to flow simulation. I've been watching many videos on what to do but I still can't find my answer. I have a solid assembly that will have a fixed pressure in and I need to know how much volume will exit. Everything I see I will only calculate pressure drop. Is there a way to calculate...
"They only sent me one file, but there would be multiple solid bodies if it translated correctly. Kinda odd that it did not have the .sldasm extension"
.SLDASM are empty assembly files linking to each .SLDPRT file and making your assembly. Many also model all parts in a single .SLDPRT file...
Thanks looslib,
I worked with a clearance point but the path went straight to it. I need up first, over second ect.
It might be something in the grinder itself??
The tooling I use is Ø8" (grinding wheels) and after I make a grind path, the grinder combines X, Y and Z to go to the next path. The problem is with such a large tool bit, the wheel will hit fixtures ect. I've tried to add more retract but the grinder can only retract in one direction just so...
Thanks Mark. I see your point of moving it in program view only. I will try that and see if anyone has problems understanding. I can't post on the PLM forum (unless things have changed) because my company didn't purchase the maintenance. Any other way to get the program?
There is a tool path I might need for future use but I don't want someone to see it and continue to use it. If I have all 4 locations in the unused folder, it helps make it idiot proof.
Thanks.
I want to put an unused operation in the unused folder. Is there a way to do this in one step? I currently do it in Program Order, Machine Tool, Geometry and Machining Method. If I'm adding a method to the unused folder, I want it in all four locations automatic.
Thanks.
NX 7.5
Not to get off topic but I program for a 7AX grinder (using T cutters as grinding wheels) only. I want to learn how you think when programming 3/4/5AX mills ect. If you have a solution to this, would you post the NX file so I can see what you did?
The RenameOperationsOntSelection.vb works as it should. I want to select a group of tool paths (no matter what they are called) and name as Diag Cut 1, Diag Cut 2 ect?
I use NX for programming grinding paths. Each pass of the grinding wheel is another operation and I have hundreds of them.
