Thank you for responding to the post. I am aware of these functions within HEC-RAS. Applying the skew angle within the program produces an overly conservative estimate for pier width due to HEC-RAS assuming the piers to be continuous (i.e. a solid wall equal to the length of the bridge width)...- Bfrench
