    How to find lateral load centroid on Rigid Pile Cap?

    I have column/wall loading schedule above cap. I would like to know how to find load C.G. on Cap due to column/wall shear load. I have some procedures to show how to find the C.G as shown in the following photo but i don't know why Vx*x = Vy*y ? Please help and many thanks
