I don't know about today, but back in the mid 80's when I was down in Brazil designing cement factory steel structures we all used the AISC code. And for concrete I saw a lot of designers using the AIC code.
I need to design bridge concrete pedestals ... Can somebody steer me in the direction of some good design material?
It is a concrete deck on steel stringers bearing on a concrete pier. The typical pedestal would be 15"x15"x30".

I came across a highway bridge (concrete deck over steel stringers) where the stringers rest on concrete pedestals over concrete piers. Two of the concrete pedestals have spalled from the anchor bolt line (one anchor bolt on each side) undermining the masonry plate by about 15%. The curious...
