Does anyone have any information on a provider of unpackaged phase change material? I am looking for something with a 70C to 80C melting point. It is for an electronics application so I don't need huge bricks of material. Thanks.

Is there a lower end MCAD package, e.g. Solid Edge, etc..., that can read native version 7 IDEAS model files? As part of a business acquisition my company inherited an archive of legacy IDEAS part files but did not get the IDEAS software.
Any thoughts?
I currently made the deicison to go with Inventor and Ansys for some of the reasons that you state. SolidWorks has some advantages that were not relevent to me but may be for some. I see it to be a superior surface modeler but to say it is far superior all around is a stretch. I have had good...
I have seen demos of Inventor 7 and have played with Inventor 8 and see a good product that fits its billing, especially in the area of reading legacy information. I read in a MDT V6 assembly and was 100% successfull on all parts. The main housing came through with the complete feature tree and...

Just viewed demos of SolidWorks and Inventor and was impressed with both. I have 6+ years of Autocad and MDT legacy data to work with so that is an issue.
What puts SolidWorks ahead?
eDrawings is impressive?
Relative ease of use, but Inventor seemed close.
General code robustness?

Just witnessed a demo of Inventor 7 and was suitably impressed. I have 6+ years of legacy Autocad and MDT data and it was imported without incident.
Is it a stable program?
Is it really as easy to learn as it appears?
What am I missing?
It seems that there are a number of good solutions out there for PCB package design. Need SS and transient thermal and linear stress and vibration. Any opinions on their relative performance?
Options seem to be for the non-daily user,
Ansys
Cosmos
Algor
TAS ??
Thanks.
To KTMer,
Am interested in your investigation. I have similar requirements for robust electronics packaging and am interested in your experience with Algor?
Am looking for a package that can do SS and transient heat transfer, static stress, and natural frequency.
