    Accelerated Life test (random)

Thanks folks, Mechengdude captured exactly the issue I am trying to achieve. Finally, what I did, just keeping the same Grms level, increased an amplitude on higher frequencies. Given the fact that vibration facilities often have low frequency limit, combination of this profile with shock test...

    Accelerated Life test (random)

Hi All, I'll try to make my question short. The random profile for truck application I use has its highest levels up to 10 hz. When I calculate what an accelerated level should be for a reasonable amount of time of actual test, it brings me up too high (1.5 - 2 G^2/hZ). The question is: is it...

    Vibration profile

Hi All, I am trying to define appropriate duration for the qual test for our equipment. The duration should represent the life cycle of the unit. I have some field data and, of course, profiles from different standards (810, SAE 1455). My question is: do the profiles for random vibration in...

    PLM system

Once you decided to switch to another tool, have you had any issues with transfering your data from Arena, i.e. did the implementation go from scratch or was you able to use the existing (Arena's) DB? Thanks

    PLM system

Thanks a lot for all the inputs!

    PLM system

Thanks. Yes, the cost of these two systems is fairly high. They definitely will do whatever we need, but frankly, I have an impression that it may be over-kill for us at this point. This is where my question comes from. As I understand, Arena is integrated with PDMWorks that we don't use. I'll...

    PLM system

Hello! Does anybody has experience with PLM system for maintaining BOM's, ECN's, etc? We are a small company (so far) and looking for the appropriate PLM software to start with. The next step will be connection of this SW with our ERP system. We were looking at Teamcenter Express (UGS) and...

    Maximum displacement measure

Thanks for all the inputs. I'll try to figure out what is the best test procedure to follow in order to get some valuable results.

    Maximum displacement measure

Would the following approach be appropriate: Having the random input profile and knowing natural frequency of my system, I can calculate the G(RMS) level of the narrow band around this frequency (lets say +/-5%). Then multiplying it by 3 (3?) I can get the estimation of G at this frequency. Thanks

    Maximum displacement measure

Thanks, I would probably describe my goals in a different way: Our system is mounted within the enclosure. To determine the minimum size of this enclosure I need to know the maximum displacement of the unit due to vibrations (the unit is mounted on vibration isolators that allow some movement)...

    Maximum displacement measure

Hello everybody, As a beginner in vibrations I am looking for some help. I am going to perform the vibration test where the displacement measurement of the system at first natural frequency is one of the main tasks. Therefore as a first step I am going to run the sine sweep to determine this...

Mining vehicals vibration and shock data

Hello All! I am looking for any reference that can help me to define the PSD profile for random vibration for the mining underground vehicals. I''l appreciate any help. Thanks a lot!

    vibration isolation

Hello All! I have just joined to this great forum. I wonder, have anybody had an experience with Wire Rope Isolators? I don't have a lot of practice with vibration, but a little. We have always used well-known Lord mounts for our avionics equipment. So this is something new for me. I have an...
