    Mike this is a weld joint design, typically on the drawing it would show a tolerance of 1/16 thats all

    Typo 3/32 not 3/16 if this is acceptable then less then 1/32 wouldn't be. that is theoretically incorrect cause zero is perfect

    I'm not understanding pipe joint design tolerances for alignment. the drawing shows a 1/16 + or - 1/32. would this allow me to accept a fit up 3/16? or is this telling me to spit the difference on opposite sides of the pipe? I've been trying to find a explanation in B31.3
