I have got a piping flange 3" 150#, A 182 F 51, assembled in the skid piping. I could see a dent of 2 mm on the flagne face (not on raised face. Is there any tolerance available for maximum dent allowed as per ASME 31.3, ASME 16.5. Could somebody suggest this tolerance please.. thanks

This is a call off sort of inspection. The Inspection document says the Body-CF 8M,Seat RTFE,Disc CF 8M, Class 300. Don't have the source to get in-depth idea of which piping system, what environment it does work etc.

A Butterfly Valve Body should be CF-8M and it is marked as same. But the MTC read Body as SS 316 and no mention of CF8M Even though SS 316 is Cast equivalent, Cr is of range 16-18 where as (CF-8M) range 18-21. Could anybody suggest whether this MTC acceptable ?
