Unfortunately seed files can only be used as a template for a new drawing. You need to learn the key-in for each setting. For example, to set the font to 1, text size to 2mm, the key-ins would be 'ft=1' , 'tx=2' etc.
The key-ins can then be combined as either a user command file or as a macro...
I think the .cdx is just the index of the cells in the library (.cel). I know that if you only have the .cel, sometimes the cell library will appear to be empty. However, if you file > compress, a new .cdx is created and the cells re-appear.

I need to get prints off hundreds of archived drawings. However the normal batch plot options are no good because the border is not a cell and they have not all been saved with the whole drawing in the view. However all the drawings occupy the same part of the design plane so if I could specify...
