Okay, I don't know how, but I figured out how to make it work. I didn't need that line of loading the summaryinfo as I first thought. It's ridiculously simple and I'm glad I stumbled across a solution. Thanks for the help!
Thanks for the advice, following is the code that I have now. Can I just do a Part.Save2? What is the difference between that and the longer line I'm using?
Somehow, it actually works. I don't understand what the variable blnRetval is doing, but anyway, I run the macro and it just goes to an...
All I'm trying to do (as that famous line goes) is run a macro that will automatically add a custom property to a file. I'm going to be running it multiple times after I get this working. The property is LibraryChecked and the value is going to be "Yes" of type Text. Not a YesOrNo type.
Here's...
I'm writing VB 6.0 application for SW2005. Here's some more explanation, sorry for the lack of info.
I sat down with pencil and paper and went over this again but I keep coming up with what I think is a circular reference. Here's what I'm trying to do and then my code so far.
One thing I don't...
Well, I think I'm thoroughly confused. Here's another explanation that I came up with:
The application has a CheckBox labeled "Checked?" that coincides with a custom file property that I'll label "Checked". If the user checks the box, it will write a Yes value (hopefully some type of True False...

I realize I am a little late on this post but I thought I would add a little more affirmation to your decision to switch to SW.
We switched our engineering department from MDT to SW about 4 years ago. The transition went quickly, the guys picked up SW by relating commands and...
I had the rest of the guys in the office keep switching my settings to using only the Command Mgr, and making fun of me for being and old dog not learning new tricks. So I gave up the battle and finally switched completly to using the Command Mgr about 2 weeks ago. Now that I am used to it , I...

Sorry it took awhile to get back to this thread. I have been out on a project. I finally gave up on trying to get my neat work around going, it still had bugs. BUT I did get this rather simple one to work using the Keystroke command.
Dont laugh to hard when you see it :), it works and...
This sounds like it would be quite helpful, I would like to try it out, but I dont know if you can do a file attachment on this forum.
Did you write the code or was it downloaded from another site that I could go and get it from?
The other option would be to cut and past the macro module and...
Has any one been able to create side view center lines in a broken view with SW2004? They show up for me when I un-break the view and disappear when the view is in broken mode?
Thanks
Fred
I have tried the PAC4SWX software about a month ago, so forgive me my details are a little sketchy or if they have a new revision.
I really liked the software except it still did not handle the 1=1. But I was able to almost get it to work by creating my own macro to batch convert. The only...
Thanks, Scott
Unfortunatly we cant seem to get the TS to export sheet scale vs view scale. There does not seem to be that option box? It always seems to default to view scale which does not create a 1=1 ACAD file.
Thanks
Fred
Has any one found a good batch converter from Solidworks Drawings to ACAD drawings that maintains the proper Sheet scale so when it gets to acad the geometry is 1-1. I have gone through about 4 of them and they all seem to export it to scale in ACAD or just take the scale of the first drawing...
I haven’t heard anything about the Xeon chipset on this post so I will throw in my 2 cents with out getting into too much detail, just try and refrain from giving me change guys .
Currently we have 4 Xeon workstations,
1- Dual processor (the slowest because solidworks does not use...
