    We are reducing the span of an steel joist and need to cut the joist. How can we design a new bearing seat for the joist?

    1951 steel joist loading

    I need to check the loading on 16" dp. steel joist that was manufacturered in 1952. The plans indicate the spacing at 47" and a weight of 167 lbs. The span is 26' Does anyone have a old joist catalog that would indicate the PLF loading?
