while studying vibrations I constantly came across 2terms: transmissionloss factor and absorption coefficient. Where excatly is the difference? Can one generaly say, that the transmissionlossfactor is for menachnical vibrations, whereas the other one is for acoustical purpose? Thanks, Aoife- AoifeMcSweeney
