Dear All,
We are discussing the requirement of impact testing on SA268-TP410 u bend tubes OD 3/4'' x 0.083''thk with our mill.
After bending we need to perform heat treatment on bending area. (temp around 650 deg C as per mill)
As per ASME VIII -1, UHA51 C (4) martensitic stainless steel...
Dear All,
We have to supply the SA213-316L & TP321 U tubes for our U type exchangers, (OD 19.05 x Thk 1.65 avg mm) under ASME code.
Now client has asked to apply for “Supplementary Requirement” per SA213, S1 and S2 as per grade.
When I asked my tube maker for the same, most of them suggest it...
Our client asked us to provide SA179 Normalized CS tubes, I have checked in ASME Codes but could not find Normalization temp. for this grade.
Inside section of heat treatment of SA179, it says tubes shall be heat treated at Temp 650 deg C or higher, but not mentioned anything for Normalization...
We are replacing the tube bundle manufactured in 1994 and tube is SA-199 T5, now with current codes the tubes shall be SA-213 T5. But client still commented to use as existing.
Anyone has idea when and which year SA199 withdrawn and replace by SA213.
Per my knowledge first it was replaced by...
Zelgar, we also thought the same, and still believe in
Conventional operation i.e. Flaring it. The results are positive
though will take some time . Thanks a lot for your suggestions.
Thanks for your suggestions.
Since there is no piping( inlet / outlet ) and we need to down the level of gas
quickly before it becomes local issue, can we add some acid to lower the pH
through inlet pipie of spent wash coming from plant( only one inlet we have )
Is it work ? Since flaring and...
Dear All,
Need your suggestion for this, we have new biogas plant to treat spent wash.
But before that we send lot of untreated waste water to cover lagoon, where there is no
Treatment takes place. Just stored waste water from last five years.
Since this is covered lagoon, there is excess...
Dear All,
We are manufacturing the shell & tube heat exchangers, and got additional testing requirement for client that is
" Tubes will have a control by current of Foucault according to the norm NF A49-872
(use Tube standard for Foucault current test n°100M4241")
Please suggest where I can...
Thanks Mike it helps, also the minimum thickness of shell required by calculation is only 16.6 but due to some loads we used 28.0, so I suppose if weld size is 26.0 it is much greater than that required.
Hi,
With reference to this thread, I understood that weld joint for tube sheet to shell shall be determined by UW 13 and UHX says about tube sheet thickness depending on type of tube sheet.
Now what if, if the actual work weld thickness is 1 or 2 mm less than specified in UW, e.g. In my case...
Hello All,
We are designing the tube sheet with hub for fixed type shell & tube exchanger per ASME Div I, so we i refer UW-13.3.
Is there any calculation for this design, as UHX only says about tube sheet thickness, and for hub thickness i can use UG-27.
My question if i want to switch from...
