    hi gents i'm a uk engineer. i'm often involved in building alteration, most of which in this country are traditional load bearing masonry. builders seem to be split fairly evenly whether they want flitch beams or steel beams in alterations.... both camps claim they are easier to install...

    hi ctmfab andrew here in the uk. when i've analised slotted connections in the past [in terms of uk practice] i've treated the joint as either pinned or on a roller in the direction of the slot. we also only finger tighten these joints but i've not yet considered tack welding any of them...

    Pressure/Temperature ratings of PN64 flanges

    I need to determine the ratings for PN64 flanges in 316L stainless. So far I've found a german copy of DIN2636 consisting of just a drawing and a page of dimensions, am I missing something? My copies of BS4504 and ISO7005 don't include PN64. Any suggestions where else to look?
