Greetings,
I use break lines periodically in drawings, and I was showing a peer this feature, however, on their machine, once the break lines were placed, I was unable to pick them in order to delete them from the view. I have transferred thier part and draft files to my pc and it works fine...
Greetings,
One of the guys I work with ask me for help in constraining some parts in his assembly. Now these parts were imports from Ideas, so they have there reference planes all over the place. He is wanting to constrain some parts that do not have common geometry to others, however, we can...
Greetings. I guess that I over-stated my case about the materials being inter-changeable, and that was because I was thinking of my application, which is:
Indoor usage only, with little load bearing conditions, and no deformative stresses applied aside from housing electrical cables.
So most...
I recently had a supplier go under and they were supplying an extruded rigid PVC part. Tooling was transferred to a new supplier and they are unable to produce the part in PVC, but would like to offer it in HIPS. I know that the 2 materials are fairly inter-changeable for some applications...
dy,
Thanks, I was trying to see if there was another way to get this done. I have done a different approach with sketches and having them driven by the first sketch and then using some associations in case I change some features, which got me the desired results. I was just hoping that someone...
ksudavid,
Unfortunately, we are stuck with V17 until spring time and then will have V19. I am a little confused on the sketch in the assembly. I am in the assy, and I am not sure how or what you are referring to with the 3 instance circular pattern? My steps are: (in the assembly)
1. click...
Greetings,
I am trying to create a circular pattern with sketches, however each time I try I do not get the sketch to pattern around the circle. Basically, I have a disc, with rectangles (3) at 120 degree BC along the outer edge. I am using the sketches for the assembly to use as mate features...
Greetings to all,
I used to be a SW user, but as changing jobs can do, I am now a SE user. In anycase, I, along with other did a detailed comparison between the Astroid 6000 and the Spaceball 5000. Here is a quick summary:
1. A = $150 S = $335 (you can find the lower price if you look)...
Greetings,
I am looking for some advice on the best process to import data that is in an "iges" format. Many of our customers are using other programs (Pro-E, Catia, etc.) and send CAD data to us for reference. The data is supplied in an iges format, but when imported, we only get surfaces and...
Thanks to both, I have gotten everything I need for working with the dwg files.
Also, FYI, you can change the colors of each layer by using the Smart Select button, once a layer is active only in the "2D Model", and then selecting the parts / features /etc., and then choosing color, so that all...
Greetings,
I have been asked by the plant manager who just found out that he must switch from ACAD to SE and has all the plant layout drawings in ACAD. I now that I can open the dwg file and see that line colors and dimensions were maintained, but how do I twick layer controls like turning on...
I am obviously missing something basic here. I have done that "Save as Flat" and picked the surface and the x-axis w/ origin, but then have to use a different name for saving the *.psm. When I open the dft file that contains the original psm part, I still do not get the "Flat Pattern" option...
