Yep, I guess it could also do that too. Now I need to know which floor/ceiling truss system I will use. This is all for a new aparment complex. And a lot of drywall layers might be that path toward achieving the rating but may not work for the ceiling height clearance. I imagine the trusses...
Does a 3hr fire-rated wood floor/ceiling assembly exist? I have been looking at all the UL designs and I haven't found anything but 2hr rated. I am trying to keep it wood to not have to use metal. Something such as wood trusses for floor or ceiling is what I'm looking to use.
