    Hi, To ensure discrimination of CB on individual circuit , the rating of the main CB is to be at least twice that of the largest circuit breaker controlling an outgoing circuit. also you need to check the melting time for the cable and the capability of the cable during the short circuit...

    I think the CB shunt is used for remote tripping , it is used on low voltage panel especially if there two source feed one load ( primary source and standby source ).

    when we design cable size for the capacitor we multiply the normal current by 1.35 and the CB shall be size to 1.5*normal current? does my statement above true? regards
