Thankyou, I'll check that site out. The motors will be pretty much all encompassing - both AC and DC, servo, brushless systems, pm, switched reluctance etc. I am really after a general guide as to where to concentrate fault-finding, rather than step by step techniques. Thanks again
I have a new job coming up as repair engineer for electric motors. Unfortunately I have out of the field for a number of years and need a quick guide as to testing/maintenance and repair. I have lost all my previous notes and need memory joggers badly! Hope someone can help.
