    need help understanding metal vs plastic caps

    im trying to put a 38-400 plastic cap on a 1" Delta metal container. Does anyone know the conversions between the 38-400 metric system and the Alpha/Delta system. Also where could I get a plastic adapter that can be put on a metal container. Thanks
