Who said anything about diving right in? I'm simply running a test setup on a high end workstation. After doing Alpha, Beta and RC testing for over 25 years, I'm well aware of the historical problems with new O.S.'s.
I was just curious if there were any problems or changes to the way FlexLM...
Thanks for the response. I've done that too. I have been able to change my templates for STEP and IGES translations, but can't seem to locate that assembly component template.
Does anyone know what template or seed part file that is used when you select "Create New Component" from the assembly menu? I'm using the Top Down design method and would like my customized template file to be used when creating a new component on the fly. Thanks.
I have an assembly which contains 100+ parts. This assembly was modified and some components have been removed. The deleted parts remain in the directory. Is there a way to remove all of these deleted parts from the directory automatically? From what I have read, you can use the ugpc command...
Is there an easier way to draw bodylines (grid lines). I heard the GM Toolkit has this feature, but we do not have it. I need to draw a view dependent grid with 100mm spacing and label the grid with their respective CYCS X,Y,Z values. I wasn't sure if there was a grip program available to do...
Can someone recommend a method for storing individual parts within an assembly. We have a part library that contains standard parts. The problem is that we modify many of these parts within our assembly. Example: A 200mm angle may be cut to 180mm. If I reference a 200mm angle then modify it...
Is there a way to reorder the assembly parts in the tree? I am creating a parts list but, the parts are in a different order than I would like. This is for a fixture design. We normally start with a base, then tooling balls, then angles... The parts need to be listed in the order that the...
I believe the GM Toolkit includes a program to create body lines (100mm spaced grid lines w/X, Y, or Z values listed inside balloons). We do not have the GM Toolkit and was wondering if another program like this existed.
Thanks,
Joe
1. I'm coming from Mechanical Desktop and am new to UG. I managed to create a parts list and used autoballoon to number my parts. I can not move the leader attachment point. The autoballoon is done on an isometric view and is causing leaders to pass through multiple parts.
2. I have...
Thanks for the help. Measuring to the plane does give me the minimum point. I didn't see the max value, but I can always create a plane on the opposite side of material.
